PUR Water Dispenser, Stage 2 filtering system fits on refrigerator shelf. The 18-cup dispenser reduces lead and is the only dispenser to remove 99.9% of microbiological cysts (cryptosporidium and giardia), while leaving beneficial fluoride in the water. It conveniently fits in the sink for refilling with a special fill-tray design that helps distribute weight and handles that make it easy to carry. Plus, the slim, space-saving design makes optimum use of your refrigerator shelf.

Better tasting water
This item does provide better tasting/smelling water but when I measured the filtered water for total dissolved solids (TDS) with an accurate meter it was still very high compared to my tap water. Also, I found that the first full batch immediately after putting in a new filter has a chemical aftertaste even when you follow the preparation instructions to the letter. Solution, run at least one fill dispenser through it and throw that water away.

Pur water dispenser is a best product...by the help of pur I have no need to buy water bottles from the stores..it's great

Works great, easy to fill, easy to carry. I would recommend filling it before it runs empty so you don't have to wait for it to filter.
Works good
I originally attempted to purchase one of the faucet attachments. What a nightmare, they ALL leak and are a huge mess, and no I don't have some bizarre size faucet, in case you were wondering. I gave up after 3 different models, none of which worked. This has worked out great. You just fill it up and it will filter through. The water tastes great and since it sits in the fridge, is always cold. Something I never thought about with the faucet attachment. We have bad water in our part of town, so much so that you can actually see the sediment floating around in the glass and you can smell it. After filtering through, it is all gone and the water tastes great. Although it is not what I originally wanted it has worked out so well that I actually purchased a smaller size as well for making cool-aid etc.

This was just what I was looking for...easy to fill, water tastes great, excellent price...takes up less room than store bought water gallons. What a deal!
